Pet Safe Thanksgiving!

We want to wish all our supporters a fantastic Thanksgiving!  We all know that we look forward to our yearly feast of food and good times with family, pets included.  However we need to forego the temptation to allow our furry friends to partake in food festivities.  Each year some eager pooches and kitties who talk their humans in to a few extra treats end up with upset tummies at the veterinary clinic.  Sometimes  it is a mild issue and a matter of a probiotic, antibiotic and bland diet.  Other times however, it is the result of an ingested bone, chocolate toxicity, or even pancreatitis, which could be life threatening.  So what do you do when those eyes stare up at you wanting?  Have some great dog treats on hand to placate them.  If you want to give them some really yummy and fresh food, consider getting them some Fresh Pet.  It is a pet safe complete food made locally in Bethlehem PA that gives them a special treat.  Best recommendation is to mix it with their regular food.   Additionally be watchful of well meaning guests who may sneak something to your pet.
The following is  a list of common foods and holiday items which are dangerous to our pets:
Onions
Tomatoes
Chocolate
Macadamia Nuts
Raisins and Grapes
Garlic
Animal bones (chicken, turkey, pork)
Alcohol
Caffeinated beverages
Avacado
Xylitol (found in gum and some other foods)
Yeast products

Have a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
