At 10:55 a.m. Tuesday, the remains of an older male pitbull, with a gray body and white chest, were found along the roadside near 1337 Route 6 in Blooming Grove Township, Pike County.
Found with no collar or tags and wrapped in a white sheet with floral print, the dog appeared to have been shot in the head with a small-caliber weapon and then dumped in that location. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 570-226-5718.
